R&D’s new C1 11 Blade Series Monster Compressor Wheel Kit for Yamaha SHO/FZ/FZR engines is new and improved for 2009. The C1-11 will deliver “horsepower you can feel” with instant throttle response, improved mid range acceleration, and increased top end performance. The R&D Monster Wheel replaces the stock wheels inefficient 5 blade design with an all new modern low profile, high flow, 11 blade high tech design. The R&D Monster Wheel will deliver an increase of 3-3.5 pounds of boost pressure with a 1.5-2.0 pound per minute airflow gain. The R&D C1-11 Monster Wheel fits directly into the O.E.M. stock compressor housing for a “no modifications” bolt on and go part. The C1-11 Monster works with the OEM intercooler, OEM fuel injectors, OEM ignition system and the R&D Intake CFM Kit. Kit performs well on 91 octane pump gasoline. Boost rated 7/8.5 P.S.I. (7 @ 7500 and 8.5 @ 7700) Horsepower increases were professionally documented by MOTEC AUSTRALIA
NOTE: The R&D C1 Monster Compressor Wheel delivers a 1.5-2.0 pound per minute airflow gain (approximately 25 horsepower at sea level). The C1 Monster Wheel will work best in sea level to 2000 ft. elevations, or in ambient air temperatures between 60 and 100 degrees. For high altitude situations (such as Denver, Colo.) or high heat conditions (above 100 degrees), R&D suggests moving up to the C3 or C5 Monster Wheel kit and upgrading to the R&D High Performance Intercooler Core Kit. Air density is greatly influenced by heat and altitude combinations. In conditions where the air becomes less dense, power will be lost. R&D offers a range of compressor wheels that will allow the engine tuner to compensate for air density losses with a range of compressor wheels with increased blade tip height and increased inducer sizes, all with increased air flow volumes rated in pounds per minute. Trust the pros at R&D to boost up your airflow volume, after all, its airflow volume gains that increase horsepower.
The C1 Wheel Kit works excellent for recreational use applications retaining the OEM ignition, fuel system, injectors, and intercooler. R&D has data logged and documented the A.F.R. (air to fuel ratio) to be a conservative and safe 11.8-12.0 with the C1 wheel kit. R&D recommends that the R&D Power Core Intake Manifold and intercooler CFM kit or the R&D Stage 1 Intercooler Kit be used with the C1 wheel.
